This course provides an overview and analysis of Federal and Georgia laws, statutes, regulations, and rules that govern residential real estate transactions/mortgages. The course is clearly broken down into segments explaining redlining, RESPA prohibition, kickbacks and compensation, and permitted and prohibited duties. Emphasis will be placed on each regulation’s origin, rationale, and importance to the integrity of the residential real estate purchase and mortgaging process.
Furthermore, federal regulations impact on sales processes in Georgia’s Real Estate transactions will also be reviewed. Ethical issues pertaining to prohibited acts, fairness in lending, fraud detection, fair and accurate advertising, predatory lending and steering will all be addressed. Addressing O.C.G.A. $ 43-40-25 (b) (1), (2), (12), (21) and Rule 520-1-.09.
