REALTORS® are required to complete ethics training within two-year cycles. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS®. We are currently in Cycle 5 which is from 2017 to 2018. The current two-year cycle will end Dec. 31, 2018. You have several options for taking Code of Ethics training.
Beginning 01/01/2017, the National Association of REALTORS requires all members to take Code of Ethics training on a Biennial basis (once every two years). The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by the National Association of REALTORS. Regardless of when a member took the training during the last Quadrennial cycle (2013 – 2016), ALL NAMAR members MUST take Ethics training again during the new Biennial cycle (2017-2018). Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to suspension of membership for the January and February immediately following the cycle deadline, with termination of membership starting March 1 after the cycle deadline.
